Everything was perfect

I was really shocked when I came to this hotel. I was expecting 5-star luxury for my weekend in Miami, but it was not that. The building is very old and needs renovating. Walls peeling, furniture chipped just very run down. The front desk was old looking, not to mention we had to wait a few minutes for someone to show up to check us in. The pool area was nice and the beds in the rooms were very comfortable. However the pool staff were not really attentive at all. We had to walk around and find them to place orders. Pretty disappointed in the hotel and will not be staying again or recommending if someone is looking for a 5-star luxury hotel in Miami.

I booked the hotel for an early flight the next day. Due to unforeseen circumstances I could not arrive during the night that I had booked but called the hotel and told them I would be checking in around 6 AM just to take a shower and organize my suitcase before checking in for my flight at 9. There was no one at the reception at 6 AM only the security guard who explained the person was in the bathroom and would be right back. I understand that happens but I cannot believe the airport had only 1 person in staff for any issues that might come up at 6AM at an Aurport hotel. When I finally got to the room, the AC was turned OFF. My flight was June 23 and MIA was extremely hot so the room felt so hot and humid that it took a while for the AC to cool off.
